A Snack with a Story
As an avid outdoor enthusiast here in Utah, I was constantly searching for the perfect snack to fuel my adventures. But I kept running into the same frustrations: snacks that were either ridiculously expensive, didn’t taste great, or were filled with junk ingredients I couldn’t pronounce.
It reminded me of my childhood in Mexico, where my family and I grew up eating a delicious and powerful little ancient grain: amaranth.
I realized the answer to my search for a simple, honest, and energizing snack had been with me all along. So, I started Aztlan Snacks in my Utah kitchen to bring a taste of my heritage to my new home. I created the snack I couldn’t find on the shelves—one that’s clean, crunchy, and packed with the nutritional power I grew up with.
